Information
The Macedonian First League is played as a double round-robin tournament. In each match, the winner receives 3 points, the loser receives 0 points, and a draw earns both teams 1 point each. At the end of the season, teams are ranked based on their total points; in case of a tie in points, goal difference determines ranking. The team with the highest number of points in the league wins the championship and also earns the opportunity to participate in next season’s Champions League qualifying rounds. Teams finishing in 2nd and 4th place in the league will compete in next season’s Europa Conference League. The bottom two teams in the league are relegated directly, while the third-from-bottom team and the third-place team in the Second League will compete in a promotion/relegation playoff to earn a spot in next season’s First League.
